The hallway kept getting longer, but every door had the same ice machine behind it. Somewhere a payphone was ringing underwater.

I was trying to buy dog food with a coupon that kept changing dates. The cashier looked like my old math teacher and would not stop humming.

There was a picnic table in the middle of my bedroom. Someone had carved my screen name into it, like i was late to meeting myself.
